Prosecco Tasting: National Wedding Show, London, 1-2 April

Prosecco World is going to participate in the National Wedding Show at EXCEL in London, stand R9, 1-2 April. We simply couldn’t miss this great event with Prosecco now the preferred choice for the welcome drink and wedding breakfast for young couples.

You will have a unique opportunity to taste different types of our exclusive Prosecco DOCG range. And here is the even better news: you will get a 10% discount for bottles you buy at the fair and 20% on pre-orders for your wedding. We will guide you through our selection, consider your wedding settings, number of guests and menu to help you to find the perfect Prosecco for your perfect day.

How many bottles of fizz will you need for a wedding day? It depends on many factors. Let's consider a medium wedding of 80 people, 1 bottle of Prosecco is 6 glasses, so you need 14 bottles for the welcome drink, if you will top up for an hour or so, consider 32 bottles. Don't want to go crazy and go all out on top ups? Then why not consider a Prosecco wall as it is fun and keeps the empty glasses out of those wedding pics. Prosecco walls are the latest trend, way more fun than old-school champagne towers.

If you do decide for Prosecco as a welcome drink, you will probably go for Prosecco also for a toast, which would require something in the region of 14 bottles or 46 in total.

More and more people like to drink Prosecco during dinner as well, as it matches most meals perfectly. For red and white wine consider ½ bottle per person, for Prosecco ¼ bottle per person, which is 20 bottles.

So basically, for a wedding of 80 guests you will need 11 boxes of Prosecco (66 bottles). You will probably not use all the bottles, but it is better to have more than an embarrassing moment “sorry, we don't have any left”.

Let's do some more maths! What if we compare basic Prosecco, our exclusive Prosecco DOCG and champagne?

Wedding toast with Prosecco

As Prosecco has become the favourite white sparkling wine of many Brits in the past decade, you can’t go wrong by serving premium Prosecco and giving that fizzy sparkle to your perfect day.  And don’t forget that Prosecco is lower in alcohol content compared to many other wines, so it is ideal for a group setting - even if some of the guests are not big drinkers, they will not say no to this fizzy goodness.

We are looking forward to meeting you soon in London!
